The OEA will lead the way for continuous improvement of education while advocating for members and the learners they serve.

The OEA mission above guides the members of the Ohio Education Association as they strive, every day, to provide Ohio's children in pre-kindergarten and K-12 public schools and institutions of higher learning with a world-class quality education. The members of the OEA work to improve the professional well-being of its members, while improving the quality of public education in Ohio.

OEA members are teachers, bus drivers, faculty members, cafeteria workers, school secretaries, custodians, boiler operators, educational aides, school nurses, librarians, media technicians and bus mechanics that work with Ohio's school children and college students in their pursuit of a quality education.
